World Maths Day - 4th March 2009

4th March 2009

World Maths Day is rapidly approaching once again and this year we want everyone to join in.

It is great fun and also helps you practise your maths skills against other players from all over the world. Last year Canterbury school received a certificate from the even organisers for playing and a child in Y6 won a trophy for her efforts!

Facts about worldmathsday

The students play against each other in mental arithmetic games.
A game last 60 seconds.
Last year 1 million students registered, 20,000 schools participated from 150 countries and over 200 million questions were answered during the practice period!!!
There are many prizes including certificates and Gold medals including World Champion medals :)

So click on worldmathsday.com and sign in to start practising before the main event takes place on 4th March.
